Andrew Tucker, African Centre for Cities, University of Cape Town (South Africa),Shriya Anand, Indian Institute for Human Settlements (India), and Colin McFarlane, Durham University (United Kingdom), are curating a new seminar series entitled Intersections on the periphery: the Good City in a Time of Crisis, funded by the Urban Studies Foundation.
ACC is delighted to host a panel discussion centred on the newly published What is Critical Urbanisms?. The panel discussion takes place on Tuesday, 27 September from 16:00 to 17:30 and will delve deeper into the book to unpack some of the debates and themes.
This annual seminar series emerges out of an interest to put into conversation political philosophy and global south urbanism. Importantly, our objective is not that of supplementing a theoretical abstraction (e.g. ‘the political’) with some kind of concrete spatiality.
